Author Guidelines

 

Article Types

The journal welcomes all original submissions of articles and reviews that comply with the Aims and Scope of the journal. All submissions must be original papers and must not be under consideration by another journal. If the manuscript contains any material that has already been published (e.g., figures or tables), this must be clearly declared, and authors are responsible for obtaining the relevant permissions to republish. Evidence of permission granted must be available if requested (see Reproduction of Copyright Material).

Template of a Manuscript

Manuscripts must be prepared and submitted using the official journal template, which can be accessed via the link provided on the journal website.

The title page should include:

  • Title of the paper (maximum 15 words)
  • Authors’ full names
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Addresses
  • Email addresses
  • Contact number
  • ORCID (recommended but not mandatory)
  • Clear identification of the corresponding author
  • Abstract and keywords

Acknowledgements, Funding information, Disclosure Statements, and Author Contributions may be included where applicable.

General Guidelines

Manuscripts may be written in English or Indonesian. Authors are fully responsible for ensuring the linguistic quality of their manuscripts. The use of non-discriminatory language is mandatory. Sexist, racist, or other discriminatory terms must not be used.

Each author must provide:

  • Full name
  • Affiliation at the time the research was conducted
  • Address
  • Email address
  • Contact number
  • ORCID (recommended)
  • Clear identification of the corresponding author

Manuscript Components and Structure

Title

The title must be informative and clearly reflect the content of the article. It must not exceed 15 words.

Abstract

The abstract must be written in English, consist of one paragraph, and not exceed 200 words. It should summarize the background, objectives, methods, results, and (if applicable) recommendations of the study. Mathematical formulas and statistical notation must not be included.

Keywords

Authors must provide 3–6 keywords in English, separated by commas.

Main Body of Text

The main body of the manuscript should be 4,000–6,000 words and organized as follows:

  • Introduction – background, literature review, research gap, and objectives
  • Research Methods – research design, data, analysis, and measurement
  • Results and Discussion – combined section presenting findings and interpretation
  • Conclusions – answers to research questions, limitations, and future research
  • Acknowledgements, Funding, Conflict of Interest, Author Contributions
  • References

Text sections may be numbered sequentially for clarity. However, Introduction, Conclusions, and References must not be numbered.

5. Equations

Formulas and equations must be prepared using the Equation Editor. The size of symbols should correspond to the main text size (12 pt), and indices should also be 12 pt.

Tables

  • Tables must be created in Word or Excel
  • Tables must be editable and not pasted as images
  • Tables must be numbered sequentially and cited in the text
  • Each table must include an informative caption
  • Use black-and-white or grayscale only
  • Font: Cambria, 11 pt

Figures

  • Figures must be editable and cited in the text
  • Each figure must include an informative caption
  • Resolution requirements:
    • 1200 dpi for line art
    • 600 dpi for grayscale
    • 300 dpi for color
  • Font: Cambria, 8–11 pt
  • Grayscale is preferred; solid colors should be avoided

Author Contributions and Acknowledgements

All individuals who made a significant intellectual contribution to the research and manuscript preparation should be listed as authors. Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section with their consent.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must provide a conflict of interest disclosure statement. If no conflict of interest exists, this must be explicitly stated.

Funding

Single funding source:

This work was supported by the [Funding Agency] under Grant [number xxxx].

Multiple funding sources:

This work was supported by the [Funding Agency #1] under Grant [number xxxx]; [Funding Agency #2] under Grant [number xxxx].

11. References

The journal uses the APA Style (author–date system), 6th edition for in-text citations and the reference list. Authors must ensure that every reference cited in the text appears in the reference list, and vice versa.

Reference Requirements

  • Minimum references: 20 items.
  • Source quality: at least 80% of references should be journal articles.
  • Recency: references should be predominantly published within the last 10 years.
  • DOI: journal articles should include a DOI whenever available.
  • Reference manager: authors are strongly encouraged to use Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

  • Single author: Smart (2016) or (Smart, 2016)
  • Two authors: (Smart & Burkart, 2016)
  • Three or more authors: (Smart et al., 2016)

Consistency Check

  • Ensure names, year, title, volume/issue, and pages are accurate.
  • Use sentence case for article titles and italicize journal titles and volume numbers (APA 6th rules).
  • Provide DOIs in URL format (e.g., https://doi.org/...).

Supplemental Online Material

Supplementary files (e.g., questionnaires, audio, video, or datasets) may be submitted. They are not formally reviewed, and authors are fully responsible for their content.

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to archive and share their data in suitable repositories (e.g., Figshare or similar platforms) and cite them using persistent identifiers (DOI).

Reproduction of Copyright Material

Written permission must be obtained for any copyrighted material used. Proper acknowledgement must be provided in figure or table captions. Authors are responsible for any associated fees.

Publication Ethics

The journal adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices. All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism.

Corrections after Publication

If errors are identified after publication, the editors will determine the appropriate method of correction in accordance with journal policies.

  • Affiliation (where the author was positioned when the research was undertaken – if authors change affiliation before publishing this should be given as a footnote)

Copyright Notice

During submission you will be asked to sign various warranties about the article (see Journal policies). These include affirming that it is original and does not infringe any legal or personal rights (e.g. copyright, libel or privacy). Authors retain copyright in their articles, but grant Jurusan Manajemen Fakultas Bisnis dan Ekonomika the right of the first publication.

All papers will be published open access under a Creative Commons CC BY-SA 4.0 license. This ensures that they receive the maximum dissemination because there are no barriers to access. This license allows readers to disseminate and reuse the paper, but always requires them to grant the authors and the first publication full credit.

 

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

 

Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Processing Charges: 2500000.00 (IDR)
Journal MABIS have an article processing charge of IDR 2.500.000 (only applicable when article is accepted). The payment need to be paid to Bank BCA - 0884384369 (Misrianti). This charge includes all costs of the peer-review process, systems, typesetting, web publication and long-term archiving.
